INTEGRATED ACADEMY MODEL
Located at the world-class Vivo facility, minutes from Stoney Trail and Deerfoot Trail, Rocky View Hockey Academy delivers a fully integrated academic and athletic development program for Grades 7-12.
Student Hockey-athletes engage in synchronized online learning supported daily by an in-person classroom teacher, providing structure, accountability, and performance balance within a high-performance training environment.

Jillian Wennekamp
With a Master’s degree in Education and over 20 years of classroom experience, Jillian leads the academic vision of Rocky View Hockey Academy. She is passionate about creating a structured, high-performance learning environment where student-athletes feel seen, supported, and challenged to excel.
Jillian specializes in breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps while fostering mentorship, accountability, and authentic relationships. Her leadership ensures academic standards, daily structure, and operational organization remain aligned with the Academy’s commitment to developing confident, disciplined, and well-rounded student-athletes.

PARENT FAQ
Is there a supervisor Teacher for the academy?
Yes. Jillian Wennekamp is the Academy educational director who will be onsite along with the Academy director Jonah Cimolini.
Is the Academy option mandatory?
No. Players may remain in their current school model if preferred (16U Team is including RVHA)
Is Billeting Available?
Yes. at a per month fee. Please contact us to discuss billeting options
Can I register my player for just the ice times only?
Yes. Players can just come for the ice times only. Please contact us to discuss options.
Can my player be a Goalie?
Yes we have our Goalie Coaches Richie Hubbell & Alex Rajsigl to help train the most important player on the team
DO I need to play for the Stars Hockey?
No it is NOT mandatory for players to be playing for Stars Hockey this is an open Academy
