Within a team setting we are creating a willingness to compete and excel in hockey with a focus on individual mindset, which will ultimately transition our academy players to compete and excel in every aspect of their futures.
Your player will need to be accepted into the academy based on willingness to compete & excel on and off the ice, previous display of team commitment and attitude towards coaches and respect for the game will play a factor.
Seasonal Plan

Season runs September-March. Majority of the ice-times scheduled in Airdrie Ab.
Schedule is designed to accommodate school sports, more family time and less constant travel time on weekends.
Each week we will have a set schedule including:
1 hr Off-Ice (Weeknight) Dynamite Boxing
1-2 On-Ice Session (Weeknights)
1-2 On-Ice Sessions or 3-4 Showcase Games (Friday-Sunday)

2013 MINOR DIVSION
- New team for athletes born in 2013 & 2014
- Teams are equivalent to “2013 Gold Spring Hockey”
- Athletes will participate in 80+ hours of development provided by their individual team and skills coaches
- Paid Head Coach, Skills Coaches & Trainers
- Formal goalie instruction provided throughout the season from qualified goalie instructor - minimum 12 hours
- Each team will compete in 32 regular-season league games that will take place in a showcase style format (~4 games per weekend)
- The end of the regular season will culminate with a final HSL Championship Weekend Tournament
2012 MINOR DIVSION
- Athletes born in 2012 & 2013
- Teams are equivalent to “2012 Gold Spring Hockey”
- Athletes will participate in 80+ hours of development provided by their individual team and skills coaches
- Paid Head Coach, Skills Coaches & Trainers
- Formal goalie instruction provided throughout the season from qualified goalie instructor - minimum 12 hours
- Each team will compete in 32 regular-season league games that will take place in a showcase style format (~4 games per weekend)
- The end of the regular season will culminate with a final HSL Championship Weekend Tournament
2011 MAJOR DIVISION
- Athletes Born in 2011
- Teams are equivalent to “2011 Elite Spring Hockey”
- Athletes will participate in 80+ hours of development provided by their individual team and skills coaches
- Paid Head Coach, Associate Coach, Skills Coaches & Trainers
- Formal goalie instruction required throughout the season from qualified goalie instructor - minimum 12 hours
- Each team will compete in 32 regular-season league games that will take place in a showcase style format (~4 games per weekend)
- The end of the regular season will culminate with a final HSL Championship Weekend Tournament
2013, 2012 & 2011 Program Cost: $4250.00 Payment plans are available

2010 HSL MAJOR DIVISION (2010 Elite born athletes) *Modified Checking
- 2010 Major is a Modified checking division that will follow the IIHF Guidelines on Body Contact with modifications. Checking clinic before the regular season begins where all HSL athletes will be educated with the three modified checking rules. Safety of our athletes is our #1 priority
- Athletes will participate in 90+ hours of development provided by their individual team and skills coaches
- Paid Head Coach, Associate Coach, Skills Coaches & Trainers
- Formal goalie instruction required throughout the season from qualified goalie instructor - minimum 15 hours
- Each team will compete in 32 regular-season league games that will take place in a showcase style format (~4 games per weekend)
- The end of the regular season will culminate with a final HSL Championship Weekend Tournament
- Medic Provided at Showcase Weekends

U15 PREP DIVISION (2008 & 2007 born athletes)
- U15 Prep is a full contact division that will follow the IIHF Guidelines on Body Contact.
- Athletes comprised of "2008 Elite Level" Players, with 3 overage 2007 born athletes allowed
- Athletes will participate in 100+ hours of development provided by their individual team and skills coaches
- Paid Head Coach, Associate Coaching Staff, Skills Coaches & Trainers
- Formal goalie instruction provided throughout the season from qualified goalie instructor - minimum 15 hours
- Each team will compete in 32 regular-season league games taking place in a showcase style format (~4 games per weekend); and
- The end of the regular season will culminate with a final HSL Championship Weekend Tournament
- Medic provided at Showcase Weekends
- Advanced player promotion with athletes listed on Elite Prospects Website, Major Junior and Junior A Scouts in attendance at select showcases and Hockey Super League YouTube Channel Exposure
- Global Exposure via Instat Sports Scouting Network and WEHP - Western Elite Hockey Prospects
U18 PREP DIVISION (2005, 2006 & 2007 born athletes)
- U18 Prep is a full contact division that will follow the IIHF Guidelines on Body Contact.
- Athletes comprise of “2007/2006 Elite Level” players, with 3 x 2005 Born players allowed;
- Underage athletes allowed if approved by the HSL
- Athletes will participate in 100+ hours of development provided by their individual team and skills coaches
- Paid Head Coach, Associate Coaching Staff, Skills Coaches & Trainers
- Formal goalie instruction provided throughout the season from qualified goalie instructor - minimum 15 hours
- Each team will compete in 32 regular-season league games taking place in a showcase style format (~4 games per weekend); and
- The end of the regular season will culminate with a final HSL Championship Weekend Tournament
- Medic provided at Showcase Weekends

ATHLETE EXPOSURE (DRAFT ELIGIBLE DIVISIONS AND OLDER)
- Teams will be listed on Elite Prospects and on Rink Net
- HSL feature athlete player profiles and HSL players of the week on all social media outlets
- Partnership with InStat to provide statistical analysis for creating scouting profiles for individual players. This also provides teams with data based on team performance to be used for development
- Broadcasted games in partnership with 4Vengance Media with multiple camera angles, live commentary, replays and graphics to represent U14 Prep, U15 Prep, U16 Prep and U18 Prep levels (facility dependent)
- Scouting booklets and programs provided at selected showcases
