Skills
*New style hockey is very fast paced and highly skilled, we will NOT be promoting big heavy open ice hitting. It will be skill based by the definition of a body check: "To separate the man from he puck" This is the reason for body checking in a hockey game, not to hurt the other players.
With a cap of four goalies, goalies can expect individualized coaching from a dedicated goalie coach to help them excel.
Game-Play
*Starting in Small area's and expanding into full ice once the players have a better understanding and comfort level.
*All game play has a strict NO North to South hitting in this camp.
Year End Tournament
To gain a complete understanding of why, when & how to use your body effectively to separate your opponent from the puck
Players should be currently playing in competitive U13 stream with aspirations of playing full contact hockey the next season
