Marc L'Heureux
With 16 years of coaching experience in both Quebec and Europe, I am proud to be joining the Airdrie Stars U16 AAA as head coach. My journey has allowed me to develop a hybrid approach to hockey, combining the intensity and discipline of the North American game with the technical finesse and structure of the European style.
This dual background has equipped me with a wide range of tools to support and develop young players in every aspect: physical, mental, tactical, and technical. My objective is clear: to push each athlete to reach the highest level possible, according to their potential.
Among my accomplishments:
Champion of the Chambéry Cup with the U15 team
Bronze medalist at the Lions Cup International in the Czech Republic in U15 AAA
Champion of the Herning Cup in Denmark in U15
Champion of the Finland Lions International Cup in U16 AAA
Winner of the Young Talents Tournament in France with the U13 team from the South-East France division
Development of 5 players currently in the selection process for the French national team
Implementation of two elite sport-study programs in Chambéry, one at the middle school level and one at the high school level
I hold all coaching certifications from U7 to elite, including the HP1 certification, and I am committed to using this expertise to support the development of the Airdrie Stars.
